Upcoming events and projects will have the following impacts on Ottawa traffic:
Beechwood Avenue – From Monday, July 22 to Friday, August 2, Beechwood Avenue will be closed between Charlevoix Street and St. Charles Street, for sewer replacement. A signed detour will be in place for motorists and cyclists. Sidewalks will remain open to pedestrians. Bus routes 6, 7, 17, 19 and 20 will be detoured along Barrette Street.
Fallowfield Road – There will be intermittent lane closures on Fallowfield Road, between Strandherd Road and Larkin Drive, from Monday, July 22 to Friday, August 30. The closures are for road rehabilitation and will take place during overnight and off-peak hours only.
Highway 417 – From Friday, July 19 at 10 pm to Monday, July 22 at 6 am and Friday, July 26 at 10 pm to Monday, July 29 at 6 am, the median lane of Highway 417 will be closed in both directions between Nicholas Street and Queen Elizabeth Driveway to replace the median barrier wall.
Island Park Drive – From Friday, July 19 until Sunday, August 11, Island Park Drive southbound will close on weekends between Richmond Road and Scott Street, during off-peak hours, for sewer and watermain construction. A signed detour will be in place for motorists and cyclists.
Merivale Road – There will be intermittent lane closures on Merivale Road, between Baseline Road and Meadowlands Drive, From Wednesday, July 24 until Tuesday, September 24. The closures are for road rehabilitation and will take place during overnight hours only.
