The following projects will impact Ottawa traffic:

Bronson Avenue – One lane in each direction on Bronson Avenue between Colonel By Drive and Fifth Avenue will close from Friday, March 6 at 7 pm to Sunday, March 8 at 10 pm and from Monday, March 9 to Friday, March 13 during off-peak hours to create a new transit lane.

In addition, the northbound turning lane on Bronson Avenue to Imperial Avenue will be closed. Traffic delays can be expected.

Highway 174 – The eastbound off-ramp from Highway 174 to Montreal Road will close overnight, from Saturday, March 7 at 11 pm to Sunday, March 8 at 7 am for Stage 2 Confederation Line East Extension preparations. Detours will be in place via St-Joseph Boulevard and Blair Road.

Expect intermittent lane and ramp closures during off-peak hours on Highway 174 between Blair and Trim roads, for the remainder of 2020, in preparation for the Stage 2 Confederation Line East Extension. Traffic will be maintained in both directions.

Highway 417 – A section of Highway 417 will close at Nicholas Street, in both directions, from Saturday, March 14 at 6 pm to Sunday, March 15 at 11 am. The eastbound on-ramps at Nicholas and Metcalfe streets will also close during that time. Detours will be in place.

Lane reductions will start on Saturday, March 14 at 5 pm, followed by the full closure at 6 pm. Workers will install six steel girders across the highway as part of the Ministry of Transportation’s replacement of the Nicholas Street underpass.

Metcalfe Street – Metcalfe Street will be reduced to one lane at Waverley Street until Saturday, March 14 to relocate a gas main. Parking will be reduced on the east side of Waverley Street, near Metcalfe Street.

Montreal Road – There will be temporary lane reductions and side-street closures along Montreal Road between North River Road and St. Laurent Boulevard from Sunday, March 8 until Friday, March 13. Visit the Montreal Road Revitalization project page for more information.
