Covid-19 Vaccine Updates:​ To date, more than 140,000 doses of vaccines have been administered in Ottawa. Ontario Implements Provincewide Emergency Brake. All 34 Public Health Unit Regions to Move into Shutdown on Saturday, April 3. The move to Shutdown status across the province will temporarily close City-managed recreation and cultural facilities for most indoor activities, limit the capacity at outdoor recreation amenities and suspend in-person City counter services. Pre-registration is open for including, patient-facing health care workers, and some faith leaders who are at increased risk of exposure to COVID-19. Vaccination appointments are available for adult recipients of chronic home health care at the Canterbury Community Centre. Eligible residents are encouraged to visit OttawaPublicHealth.ca to confirm eligibility and pre-register. Bookings for vaccinations are once again available for residents 70 years old and older at community vaccination clinics. Visit the provincial booking site to make your appointment today. Four community vaccination clinics are operating in Ottawa: the Nepean Sportsplex, the Ruddy Family YMCA-YWCA in Orléans, Ottawa City Hall and the Eva James Memorial Community Centre in Kanata. As vaccine supply increases over time, additional community clinics will be opened. As of April 2, the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines will be available in select #Ottawa pharmacies for eligible people ages 55 or older in 2021. These vaccinations are separate from OPH. Find out how to book. Planning is ongoing for Ottawa’s Phase 2 vaccination rollout in accordance with the Province’s three-phase plan. The St. Laurent Complex community clinic is offering vaccines to First Nation, Inuit and Métis, aged 16 and older by appointment only. Call 613-691-5505 to book an appointment. Walk-ins are not accepted, and proof of Indigenous identity is required. If you are Inuit and live in the Ottawa area, the Akausivik Inuit Family Health Team is offering COVID-19 vaccines at their clinic. To book an appointment, call 613-740-0999, Monday to Friday, 9 am to 4 pm.
