Traffic impacts in Ottawa beginning Friday, June 4

The following projects will impact Ottawa traffic:

  • Highway 174 The following Highway 174 ramps and lanes will close for Stage 2 LRT roadwork:
    • The westbound on-ramp from southbound Tenth Line Road is closed until 5:30 am on Monday, June 7.
    • The eastbound off-ramp to Champlain Street is closed until 5:30 am on Monday, June 7.
    • The eastbound on-ramp from northbound Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard will close from 9 pm on Wednesday, June 9 to 5:30 am on Friday, June 11.
    • The westbound off-ramp to Tenth Line Road will close nightly from 9 pm to 5:30 am beginning Monday, June 7 and ending Friday, June 11.
    • The westbound off-ramp to Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard will close nightly from 9 pm to 5:30 am beginning Tuesday, June 8 and ending Thursday, June 10.
    • The westbound on-ramp from northbound Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard will close nightly from 9 pm to 5:30 am beginning Tuesday, June 8 and ending Thursday, June 10.
    • The westbound on-ramp from southbound Champlain Street will close nightly from 9 pm to 5:30 am beginning Wednesday, June 9 and ending Monday, June 14.
    • The eastbound on-ramp from southbound Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard will close nightly from 7 pm to 5:30 am beginning Monday, June 7 and ending Wednesday, June 9.
    • Highway 174 will be reduced to one lane in both directions between Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard and Champlain Street from 9 pm on Wednesday, June 9 to 5:30 am on Friday, June 11.
    • The westbound ramp from southbound Montreal Road will close from 7 pm on Sunday, June 6 to 5:30 am on Monday, June 7.
  • Highway 416 – The northbound off-ramp and on-ramp at Cedarview Road will close from 10 pm on Friday, June 4 to 5:30 am on Saturday, June 5.
  • Cedarview Road will close between West Hunt Club and Bruin roads from 10 pm on Friday, June 4 to 5:30 am on Saturday, June 5.
  • Riverside Drive will be reduced to one lane in both directions between Heron Road and Bronson Avenue from Tuesday, June 8 to the end of December for bridge rehabilitation work. Signs will be in place to direct traffic. Pedestrian and cycling access will be maintained.
  • Redwood Avenue is closed between Byron Avenue and Richmond Road until Saturday, June 26.
  • Holly Acres Road at the Transitway will close from 11 pm on Friday, June 4 to 6 am on Saturday, June 5. The westbound on-ramp from southbound Holly Acres Road will remain open.
  • Midway Avenue will close daily from 7 am to 5 pm between Richmond Road and Wentworth Avenue beginning Monday, June 7 and ending Friday, June 18.
  • Byron Avenue will close daily from 7 am to 5 pm between Allison and Woodland avenues beginning Monday, June 7 and ending Friday, June 11.
  • Dairy Drive is closed until Monday, June 14 for Stage 2 LRT work.
  • Hunt Club Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction nightly from 7 pm to 6 am between Airport Parkway and Mac Street until Monday, June 14 for Stage 2 LRT work. The Airport Parkway southbound off-ramp to eastbound Hunt Club Road will also be reduced to one lane during this work.
  • Carling Avenue will be reduced in both directions between Churchill and Kirkwood avenues from Monday, June 7 to Thursday, June 10 for underground infrastructure investigation. Personnel and signs will be in place to direct traffic. Pedestrian and cycling access will be maintained.
