**Busy as a bee**
Highlight of the workshop: Did you know that the smallest farm animal plays the greatest role in food production? Come learn more about beekeeping, how honeybees turn nectar into honey, and where these small but mighty insects live with an educator from the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum. There’s a reason we have the saying “busy as a bee”! These tiny toilers don’t just make honey and beeswax, they also play an essential role in pollinating Canadian food crops. The Ottawa Chinese Community Service Centre, in collaboration with the museum, are bringing you a unique and engaging live presentation! You’ll get to learn about the fascinating ecology of these little creatures, gain insights into professional beekeeping through interactive activities and hands-on demonstrations, and even have the chance to taste fresh farm honey on the spot. It’s an exciting and informative event you won’t want to miss—if you’re interested, be sure to sign up soon!
