Go to the old Nepean City Hall, find the public library, on second floor, there is a computer called something like Access Ontario. You can register a small business within half an hour. Cost is about 68 dollars by credit card. The same service is in Ontario court house on 161 Elgin Street, street level, to your right hand side, also called Access Ontario.

Just some more info which may help. The $60 + $20 is only the registration of business name. Good enough for most home business, but pay attention, that's not a real "corporation". Which you need to hire a lawyer to file the incorporation papers to be a real "corporation" which has limited liability.
The general cost about incorporation is about $1,000 or above per year, since you usually need the lawyers help for the year book, and accounts help for the T1.

I registered my company this Janaury through Internet. It is a Canadian company. I pay tatolly 223$ (20$+tax for name searching and 200$ for registration).
If you run the business by yourself. You don't need to have a lawyer. You may need an Accountant when you submit your tax sheet every year. As my knowledge, it takes less than 200$.

Did you filed the "incorporation paper"? I guess you just registered the business name, not a real company. Legelly, the business is you, and the liability is unlimited.

Registering a business is quite easy,
1) Register a business name ($60)
2) Incorporate your company ($100)
3) Regsiter GST and Payroll in CCRA (free)
4) Register PST (if neccessary) (free)
5) Register Workers' Saftely and Insurance Board (free)
6) Find an accountant (if neccessary cause I didnt) (<$200)
7) Open a business bank account ($ is vary)
8) Start making money
