Dear Web visitor,
We would like to thank you for visiting our Fido Web site.
Please accept our apologies for the unusual delay in responding to your
e-mail. We have received an extremely high volume of e-mails in the past
several days and have been unable to answer all of our customers within our
habitual time frame. Rest assured that necessary measures have been taken in
order to rectify this situation and that your e-mails will be responded to
shortly.
When you set up your voice messaging service, your first step will be to
enter your password. Your default password consists of the month and the
last two digits in the year of your date of birth, followed by the #. For
instance, if you were born in December 1967, your password will be 1267 #.
Your next step will be to enter your city code (see the examples below) from
your handset's main screen and press TALK, YES or SEND.
*123 (Montr獒l, Ottawa and Hull)
*456 (Toronto)
*789 (Vancouver and Victoria)
*147 (Calgary and Edmonton)
*369 (Winnipeg)
An automated system will then guide you through each step. You will be able
to change your access code during the process.
The voice message system will pick up the unanswered calls only if the Call
forwarding function is activated. If your calls are not sent to your Voice
Messaging service after three ring tones, you may want to reset the
forwarding. Before attempting to modify the forwarding options, we recommend
that you deactivate all forwarding options by dialing: ##21# from the main
menu, and press your call button.
To reactivate all three conditional forwarding options at once, which will
redirect all your unanswered calls to your voice messaging service, dial *
004 * 3436 #, and press your call button. A message will appear on the
screen to confirm that the command has been accepted.
When you receive a voice message, you can retrieve it by:
- pressing and holding 1 for several seconds;
- entering your city code (*123, *456, *789, etc.); or
- entering the 10-digit Fido phone number from a landline phone and pressing
* as soon as the greeting starts.
Please note that accessing your Voice Messaging service will generate
airtime charges.
Your questions and comments are of great importance to us.
Best regards,
Carole
