如何看主板或BIOS是否支持从不同硬盘多重启动模式?

我以前的一个1年半新的PC只能支持从单一硬盘(IDE HD MASTER)和CDROM之类的启动模式。在SLAVE 上的HD不能启动PC。

后来装了一个2003出来的主板，在说明书上也没有看见支持不同硬盘多重启动模式?用了以后才发现。这给多硬盘的PC带来了很大的方便。

大家说说当你挑选主板的时候，一般MANUAL上用什么词汇来描述它是否支持我上面说的不同硬盘多重启动模式?

You need to see if the MB lets you select IED Primary or Slave as 1st drive. You then could set the slave drive as 1st drive and boot your computer from there. My Asus P4C800E supports this, and I know P4P800 does it, too.

IDE0 = Primary Master
IDE1 = Primary slave
IDE2 = Secondary Master
IDE3 = Secondary slave

SCSI = SATA/SCSI
