Help is needed!

I used PartitonMagic 7.0 to partition the hard disk C. Unfortunately, Some error messages appeared and windows XP could not start. To recover the disk, I tried to use the two rescue disks. It seems like that they do not work. I also found that the reason might be the size of the harddisk. The hard disk is 120GB, but PartitonMagic 7.0 can only be used for 80GB.

Since I have some important files (assignments) on the hard disk, I really want to recover it.

Data about my PC:
Dell 8300
Hard disk: 120GB, SATA
Windows XP

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

i dun think so. who said PQ magic 7 is only limited to 80Gs

用你机子的恢复盘启动试一试，或回到DOS下用DISKMAN试试。
你的PM在分析硬盘时可能需要读引导区内的数据，而有些硬盘的引导区内有自己的专用启动程序，例如我的WD160G,在用PM的时候，提示读盘错误。所以只能用附带的光盘来操作。
劝你不要上火，只要你没有动其它的盘，一般不会丢失数据的。

不可能的。绝对不可能。7.0出来的时候硬盘起码都80G以上了。
Partition hard drives as large as 80 GB 不是80G max的意思
处理80g和120G是一样的。
