What kind of format is it? Different format use different player.
Real, divx, Xvid,svcd, mp3, ape,......Cannot use one for all.

You can install RealAlternative and QuickTimeAlternative (both comes with MediaPlayerClassic), then you can use MediaPlayerClassic (or Windows Media Player) to play a/v you want, including MPEG4, Real formats, QuickTime formats, DVD, (S)VCD etc.
