DDR memory

My PC is P4-1.7, and still slow when running software. The Memory is two pieces of PC133-256M(total 512M). There are two memory slots left for DDR memory.

How much the speed imporved when change PC133 to DDR?

The PC133 can run with DDR together?

512bm ram is very fast you don't need to add more RAMs.
you may have other problems to slow your PC..

Another two OS are running under Windows/XP. I can't tell you what they are because of the restricted products. The sign-up will take 3-4 minutes. The DDR memory can improve the speed a lot?

the problem might be what kinda software u r trying to run

if u're running two more OS under XP, then ur comp is gonna be slow. even if u had dual xeon 3.2

总共也没几个流行的OS. 最常用的是Window, 再么就是UNIX, 还有Linux. VAX机有它的OS. 还有VMS,我没用过. APPLE有MacOS. IBM有几个OS, 微机的OS/2, 小型机 IBM/AS400的OS/400, IBM/RISC6000的AIX. 同卡斯特罗夫下棋的IBM/RISC6000叫深蓝. 还有它的大型机 OS, 包括VM, MVS,和VSE.这些用于银行,政府,和大公司.

要运行这些OS在XP下, 要有必要的仿真器安装在Window下. 还要有这些OS软件.

VMware不是仿真器,VMware可以安装几个OS在Window and Linux下. 我做过, 运行太慢.

不知道把PC-133换成DDR是不是能提高速度很多.
