<HTML>我今年从加拿大排名前10的一个学校毕业了,早就就可论文答辩了,软件工程专业,但由于工作没着落,光有几个面试,最后一个面试就是你们渥太华的一个公司,我来了一趟,就无下文了,现在我是无人要的孩子.
这两个月连面试机会都没了,我只好推迟答辩,还继续呆在学校.留在学校,还有RA和TA,还能养活自己.看来,要读博士了. 其实我可不是想搞学术研究的人,但据说现在博士也不好申请了. 给我的自信吧.</HTML>

<HTML>试一试博士吧.不一定拿学位,有一段缓冲的时间,到经济好转找工作就容易些.而且上学期间可以拿到公民,那时可选择的余地就大了.
多试几所学校.</HTML>

It doesn't mean it has to be harsh for them now. Lots of people (proberbly including "disappoint") didn't benefit from last few years' boom at all. Try to be fair, young boy.

I suggest you to spend soemtime to attend a job interview workshop. Chances are you will learn few good tips.

Totally agree with ht_ca! At my peak job hunting period, I sent out more than 40 resumes everyday. My day would start by browsing the newsgroups (ott.jobs, tor.jobs, mtl.jobs, etc.), and I'd get job alerts from major job banks. I also kept a log of all company/position I sent my resume to (an MySQL db, very easy to set up). Just be patient and hope for the best.

If you really want to impress your potential employers, publish some technical articles in a professional magazine (more and better), which can be looked up easily on the internet. my classmates and myself all tried this way and it really works.

There is no sense to stress that u got degreee from a top 10 canadian school...
