I did it by following Rogers' instruction before. It shows the IP address is an normal one. After repaired IP address under 网络 icon. System gets the same address as IPconfig.
在Rogers user guide的troubleshooting里有这样一段对话:
问:...I just switched my connection to another computer and now I'm unable to connect to Internet.What's going on?
答:...The DHCP server gives you access to network information based on you network adapter's unique hardware address. when you switch cable modem connection to another computer, the DHCP server will not supply the new computer with the necessary network information cause it still thinks that your other computer is connected to the Rogers Hi-speed network. To connect new computer to the cable modem , you will FIRST need to RELEASE the network information on your original computer.
IF U DON'T HAVE ACCESS TO THE ORIGINAL COMPUTER, U CAN CALL TECHNICAL SUPPORT AT 1-888-2884663 TO RELEASE YOUR NETWORK INFORMATION FROM THE DHCP SERVER.
it seems that you ip address had not released in roger side as Rogers allows only one ip address for one customer. Call them to realse it from server side.
