Anybody can explain briefly what is the sale cycle of professional service in high tech company or point me to the right place.

- contacting with potential customer
- proposal and demostration
- signing contract (if you are lucky)
- collecting requirements
- business analysis and modeling
- system analysis and modeling, customization or development, system deployment (this part may not belong to prefessional service based on the company's structure)
- system implementation and training
- go live
- on-going support and maintenance

it's just my experience, not from the textbook. so, it's not the standard one and might be different with others...
