Finished Goods Test Engineer (Kanata)

# As Test Engineer you will be responsible for the implementation of finished product and component testing procedures, failure analysis of test results and final disposition. Other responsibilities include; recommending and developing improvements for test protocols, test methods, sampling plans and release criteria, monitoring statistical variation of test data, providing feedback to manufacturing engineering in solving manufacturing problems and supporting process and yield improvement programs. You will also provide support in the validation of manufacturing changes and new products. The successful candidate will have the following combination of knowledge, skills and attributes: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Physical Science discipline
# Strong background in mathematics and statistics
# Familiarity with SPC techniques, experimental design or other data analysis methods,
# Strong computer skills including knowledge of spreadsheets, charts and applicable software applications
# Effective problem solving and analytical skills

# Superior interpersonal skills and leadership abilities

# As Chemical Preparation Technologist you will prepare chemical solutions according to established procedures to meet the requirements of the manufacturing area. Other responsibilities include: performing quality control of solutions and equipment calibration. To be considered for this position, you will have the following education, skills, and abilities: 2-year diploma in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or equivalent.
# 0-3 years experience in a wet chemistry or biochemistry laboratory environment.
# Strong computer skills Good analytical, problem solving and judgment skills.
# Ability to work in a multitask environment and meet deadlines.
# Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
# Ability to work in a team environment.
# Manufacturing experience will be considered an asset. Please note that the Chemical Preparation Technologist may be exposed to chemicals and biohazards under controlled conditions. You must enjoy working in a team-based environment and be willing to work fixed 11.5 hours per day (4 days on, 4 days off).
