Position Overview
Liquid Computing Corporation has an immediate opening for a software designer. The successful candidate will work closely with the hardware design team to define the hw/sw interfaces, interrupt handling structures and device memory addressing, and develop efficient device drivers for messaging and platform control in the Linux environment.
In-depth understanding and working knowledge of virtual/physical memory mapping, DMA, various bus technologies including PCI and hypertransport, and communication protocols are essential to this job. The selected candidate is expected to be a self-starter and able to work under minimum supervision. He/she must also be a team player and possess good communication skills to work in a highly dynamic environment. The candidate must be willing and capable of taking on different work assignments and new challenges, as well as working under tight schedule.
Qualifications

10+ years of C/C++ software development experience. Experience of Fortran is a plus.
*
Driver development experience with Linux/Unix. Driver development experience with real-time OS's is an asset.
*
Working knowledge/Development experience with communication protocols including Ethernet, TCP/IP and infiniband.
*
Development experience with platform maintenance.
*
Knowledge of hw/sw fault tolerance
*
A BSC/BE degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering is required
