[请求] Anyone know what is the problem?

It would be very appreciated that anyone can help !

I bought a new motheboard and new memory chip, I have to reinstall the Windows XP. So I just set the CD drive, which contained the XP disk to be the boot device.
The issue is the XP disk automatically reinstall the Window. After that from "my computer" I can see that the available size of the harddrive is very close to the harddrive capacity. I also can not find any old file in the hard drive.

does anyone know what is the problem?
could the XP automatically format the hard drive during the installation? if so, is there a way to recover the data ?

Any helpful informaiton would be very appreciated.

你用的是什么盘啊??不用你管，它自己就能完成所有的工序???
正常情况下，安装盘在FORMAT之前要得到用户的同意，除非你用的是那种自动RECOVERY的盘。

如果它要format 你的盘的话，它会问你要不要做个操作的，如果你老是按是是是，它当然会把你的盘给格式化了．会不会你的盘是不同版本的，它可能装了两个系统呢？
我是菜鸟，看不看我定的东东都没关系．

原装机的system recover盘是这样的，如果你原来分3个区，用它recover之后，就相当于给你的硬盘重新分区，然后重新格式化，再安装系统，recover不是单纯recover你的C区的。数据很重要么？如果不是，恢复数据很麻烦的，尤其是如果你硬盘大的话。不过假如你想做data recover,我可以帮你试试。能找回来多少，要看你的数据毁坏的什么程度了。
