Need help with Fedora Core 3

ASUS A7N8 DELUXE+ AMD 2500+
Nvidia Geforce 2MX(2VGA with s-video out)
Question:

How to enable on-board digital audio output
in LINUX(Fedora Core 3)?

And how to Setup TV-out from s-video port of
video card?

Suggest you use the LFS + BLFS ( http://www.linuxfromscratch.org ). It is most updated and runs very fast. It is a fun to build your own system. There are so many packages need to be updated in FC3. FC3 even disabled the mp3 support in the standard XMMS....

是的，但我的机器是老的PII450

基本OS：LFS+BLFS(GNOME-2.8)
中文输入：SCIM
Browser：firefox-1.0+ (from CVS) + adblock
Video播放：mplayer
Audio播放：xmms + wma pluging
Web Server：apache
...

日常上网足够了。而且屏幕十分“干净”，不用但心“有毒”网页。

Or u r just using those distributions?

Yes. I select (install) the packages I needed from the source codes. Not directly use the distributions. Refer on the above (B)LFS book. There is a section in the book talked about the Nvidia driver.

still, the coaxial digital audio output does not work, no sound out to my receiver at all.
Plus , need some help with chinese input and chinese font, it's ugly.

建议你从gentoo玩起.要比LFS容易些,而且gentoo的framebuffer弄的挺凼
