Read only attributes keep turning on. Help!!
Users can't save to server.

can not change read only permission 2003 server

We have just moved onto a new Windows 2003 server we didn't upgrade. The share and ntfs permissions seem all okay. The issue is if I look at the properties of the root share the read only attribute is grey with a check in it. I am able to remove the check then it looks like it goes to all subfolders. Then I click the properties again and the check returns.
What could be happening?

电脑科学本质上说是西方的， 如果用英文都说不清楚的话， 中文就更不会说得清楚了。

我猜想他的“root share ”是指某个分区的根， 如C:\

但是，C:\　是没有permission 这个property 的，　所以弄不明白。

You try to make a shared folder.
What you need to do is to set permission of somebody (i.e. everyone) on that folder to allowing "Full Control".
