how do you guys think about this upgrade?

所以又用6.0了，

I have been using Acrobat 7.0 Professional for over two month. It is very stable and much better than 5.x and 6.x. It starts up very fast, and generates much smaller pdf files.

Depends on what do you need from Acrobat. If you just need generating simple pdf files, I would recommend pdfFactory which is small and almost cost no resources. My system is XP SP2, P4 1.6 with 512M RAM, and I use Distiller to generate pdf files from MS Word and Acrobat to modify pdf files. It is fast and never crashed.

what about OpenOffice? Its build-in pdf export is much faster than word+acrobat-whatever-version with the same functionality, especially you are using "old" machine. If you just want to generate your own pdf document, OpenOffice latest beta version has everything and it's completly free.
