I too was in search for a powerful range hood. I've narrowed down to Crown and Sakura. Sakura is an old name brand and has been quite reliable. Crown on the other hand is new and has competitive price. The price they sell in chinatown is $400 for Crown and $500 for Sakura (if I remember correctly). You can see them in demo at a store on Summerset just before Bronson.
