visit Canadian Embassy in Beijing or its website to download a visitor visa application package, which lists all documents you need to provide for the application. you must write an invitation letter and promise to cover all the cost for them, including transport, housing, daily expense and medicare. your employment, income (notice of tax assessment) and bank statements for at least 6 months are necessary. you also need to show the relationship certificate. finally, write a letter to the visa officer to list the documents in summary on the top of application forms,as I did,

(1) Invitation letter
(2) Notarized copies indicating relationships
(3) List of people in the invitor’s household
(4) Copies of landing papers or citizenship certificates for (a) you,(b) your spouse and (c)
child(ren)
(5) Notices of Assessment issued by Revenue Canada for (a) you and
(b) your spouse
(6) Employment letter from your employers for you and your spouse
(7) Bank statements of you and your spouse including all accounts:
(8) Pay records for you and your spouse for 6 months

of course, your parents need to provide valid passports. they may be required to have physical exam at designated hospitals. the tip is the medical exam may be waived if they intend to stay for just three months.
