I am planning to apply for U.S visa for my parents. My parents are Canada immigrants (they have landed for 3 to 4 months). They are currently living in Canada with my brother who has canadian citizenship.
I have been working in US for around 10 months now. I have a canadian citizenship with a working permit in US which expires at the end of 2005. But I should not have any problem in renewing it.
My question is, while applying US Visa for my parents,
1. will it have negative impact if they say that they will visit their daughter (it is me) who is living in US at current time? My concern is that the officer might think they have immigrant tendency if they know they have a daughter currently working in US.
2. I heard that it is easy to have tourist visa approved. But how long the applicant can stay in US for this kind of visa? I plan to have them stay in US for 2-3 months before sending them back.
3. which visa should have a better success rate? tourist one or the family reunion one?
Anyone has any case studies? I do appreciate any information that you could provide. Thanks!
