Centrino WIFI 问题

有没有人用带有INTEL CENTRINO 移动CPU的LAPTOP的?

刚买了一款,带有内置(WIFI 802.11A/B/G)的INTEL CPU的LAPTOP.选一个信号强度很强的地方WIFI上网,速度还可以,不过发现一个令人难以忍受的毛病.

每隔一段时间,大约10-15分钟,WIFI 连接CONNECTION就断了,需要我MANUAL重新REFRESH.在同样的地方,另一台插PCMCIA WIFI卡的P-II LAPTOP就没有这个问题.
在信号更弱的地方的DESKTOP的连接稳定性也比这CENTRINO强.

大家一般说的内置(WIFI 802.11A/B/G)的INTEL CPU,是指WIFI功能集成到CPU上呢,还是集成在LAPTOP上. 我在LAPTOP的可插拔的组件中没有发现WIFI单元的痕迹.

You should have a mini-PCI wireless adaptor. The dropping may also relate to the AP. My 2200 B/G keeps dropping with a USR 8054 and works perfect with a D-Link. Try update the driver of your wireless card first.

You are perfectly right! I happened to have 2 models of wifi router. One is USR8054 802.11G, the other one is Dlink 802.11b.

I have been using USR 802.11G Router for a while. It has bigger than average signal coverage. and very stable so far. It is a pity that centrinio Laptop doesn't interwork with it well........

When I replaced the router with D-link 802.11b router, the laptop wireless connection is very stable after overnight test.

You are perfectly right! I happened to have 2 models of wifi router. One is USR8054 802.11G, the other one is Dlink 802.11b.

I have been using USR 802.11G Router for a while. It has bigger than average signal coverage. and very stable so far. It is a pity that centrinio Laptop doesn't interwork with it well........

When I replaced the router with D-link 802.11b router, the laptop wireless connection is very stable after overnight test.

All D-Link wireless routers (such as DI-524, DI-624) have a WiFi certified label. It works great with my Centrino laptop, which uses Intell 2200 chip (802.11b/g).

I would assume that's a flaw of the USR. Using Google, you can find some discussions on USR 8054. I probably will refresh its firmware with a d-link one when i get chance.

... centrino 不是一种处理器，而是一种技术名称，这个技术包含三个组件 － Pentium M CPU 400/533, Intel Wifi 2100/2200， 和intel 的两款主板。。。
没有什么Wifi内置在cpu里面的
要是内置了，你就一个ap都连不上了。。。。cpu内部多大的干扰啊。。。
