I was required to provide fingerprints, so does that mean it will take longer to process my file? Anyone knows how to do it or have previous experience?

In the fingerprints request letter, you should find the address and the phone no. of the fingerprint company. I got the fingerprint in the company which is located in a building closed to Citizenship department and Ottawa Police office. It costed about $25-$35 (I forget how much I paid exactly)
The citizenship was received 15 months after the citizenship application. i.e. 2002 - 2004 experience.

I was required to provide fingerprints too, which does not mean it will take longer than usual, just a routine process. I will send the fingerprints to CIC this week. Let's keep in touch so that we can share the information.
Alternatively, you can bring the fingerprint copy to the CIC office in Catherine St., Ottawa. That's what the fingerprint company told me to avoid the postal delay or lose.
最初由 andrew 发布 one more question, does anybody need to do this kind of fingerprint stuff? thanks, I just passed the test and waiting for their letter now.
Only a few people need to do the fingerprint and criminal record check from RCMP. I suspect my name was similar to the name of a criminal in Canada, so, I was asked to submit the fingerprint for the criminal record search.
The fingerprint is required before the written test. If you pass the test, you need not to worry about that.
