how to withdraw the sponsorship

Hi all,

(My apologies. I have to write in English since I do not have Chinese editor)

My friend has signed up sponsorship for her parents for 10 years while applying for their immigrations. It has been over 3 years after her parents landed. Now, she got some difficulties in her life and the income is too low to cover the cost of her own family and her parents.

Would it be possible to withdraw her sponsorship for her parents? Could anyone provide some detailed information?

Read the sponsership agreement she signed to sponser her parents carefully again!

Sorry to hear that.... It is NOT easy at all. It has to be what deemed as "extraordinary circumstance" (like sponsor is physcally "handicaped" or completely lose the ability to work or support) otherwise, if it is just "income is too low", will be seen as "temporary or transient events. They will ask to have parents sent home for the moment instead of getting government warefare.

Believe me, immigration Canada thought about this before...

Not sure he was going to do this. But I do know there are a good number of people doing this kind of fraud as they have no family members to sponsor any more.

好像没那么简单. 已经落地就无法撤出和约了. 你的朋友必须坚持担保她的父母, 如果经济实在不好, 父母也可以申请救济 -- 但是那将以贷款形势发给, 将来你的朋友要还的. BC省在三年前已经开始向违约的担保人收讨这笔债务, 报纸都报道过, 近年安省也开始了. 三年前移民局将担保移民中的担保合同文件专门改过文本, 就是为此. 不过你朋友的父母落地都三年了, 也许是在旧的担保合同下申请的移民, 不知道会不会被追债. 保险的话, 带她父母去申请救济的政府部门问问清楚, 如果是债, 就慎重别轻易申请.

Thank you for the information. My friend's parents were living with her in the last 3 years. But they have to move out and rent a place of their own due to some reason.This increases the cost dramatically.It is very difficult for her to cover the cost now. Therefore, she is thinking about the possbilities to apply for some welfare support.
