Standard methods for removing probes not only damage the membrane, but can also damage the target RNA bound to the membrane, potentially decreasing the signal obtained from the next hybridization. Stripping does not.

why do they want to remove the probe?!!
i thought it is used for detecting the amount of mRNA presented in the sample...
if it is removed, then the target RNA won't be shown under x-ray...

or un less...they want to reuse the sample for detecting another mRNA, then the probe will need to be removed...
ps, seriously how did u know all these stuff...
