It does not worth to claim for the slight damage. insurance claim might cause you difficulties in future. You can take a photo with date on as evidence and then repair the bump.
I was hit by a guy several years ago in a snow day and the rear bump was scratched slightly. I suggested that he pay for the repair and I don't report to the insurance for his goodness and he agreed. Then I went to three bodyshops and asked for quotations. I told him the results and he agreed to pay the invoice at the lowest one. The day I sent my car into the bodyshop, I called him and inform the work number with my name, car VIN and estimate cost. He went to the bodyshop and paid the cost during the day. I picked up my repaired car after my work hour, even we did not see each other that day.
In your case, the guy has agreed to pay for the repair cost. you can go to a few bodyshops and ask for quotations and inform him. if he agrees, you send the car to the bodyshop at the lowest quotation cost and let him to pay the bodyshop directly or pay you. It should be ok because you already have his insurance # etc. the possibility for him to deny is not high. If he does, you can sue him in the small amount court and you should win most likely. By the way, the cost should be 200 to 300 for rear bump repainting, but you may see quotations as high as 500 to 600.
Good luck!
