Man shot in Ottawa's South End

OTTAWA -- A man was shot early Thursday morning in Ottawa's South End. Police were called to an address on Baycrest Street at 3:05 a.m. to find a 25-year-old who man had been shot in the chest.
According to local residents, several shots were fired.
The victim was taken to the Civic Hospital where he is resting in stable but serious condition.
The Ottawa Police Major Crime Section will be the lead in this attempted murder case. The motive for the attempt is not known at this time, but police suspect the incident may be related to another shooting report in the Market area.
The investigation continues.
