Renew G2 license

I have G2 driver’s license which will be expired on Jan 11. But I can’t have G test until Jan 31. I want to renew my G2 license for 5 years one. Anybody know how and how long it will take to get a new one since it’s almost Jan. or any telephone number I can call to ask this? Thank you very much.

You need to book a G2 test as soon as possible.

You should ask for a ONE_DAY_ONLY_driving_permit which allows you to drive on your test date since your G2 will expire before the road test.

Another important thing is: should you fail, you'll have no licence ( NOT even a G1 -- can't drive at all you need a company to your road test unless you have 100% confidence

According to my understanding, 2 choices:


1) G2 exit test failed - start all over again from knowledge test

2) request a G1 exit road test again (call the drive test center for more info)

if you pass - you'll get a brand new G2 (good for another 5 years)
fail - same as 1)

needless to asy if you pass your G2 exit, you'll get your full G license.

还有一个办法就是,你可以去路考的OFFICE等,看看是不是有人预约却没有来,这样你就可以插进去了.这要碰运气,花时间,但可能是最现实的解决方案了.

感觉G2到期而不能renew不make sense.既然已经驾驶了N年，为何还要重新来过？
既然以前给了G2 license,就认为可以上路驾驶，为何不能renew?
