Don't worry about gas too much. I don't think it's uncommon. This program will go away when your baby grows a bit older. It happens on one baby I've known of.
It worth trying to pay attention your diet since there are food which could produce gas. But it may be not of much help. So be patient, the problem will go away finally, just like hiccup, spit-up.
Here are some info about food which could produce gas I searched from Internet.
Certain foods are inherently gas-producing. Gas-producing foods include beans, cabbage, onions, brussels sprouts, cauliflower, broccoli, fluffy wheat products such as bread, apples, peaches, pears, prunes,b corn, oats, potatoes, milk, ice cream, and soft cheese.
Foods that produce minimal gas include rice, bananas, citrus, grapes, hard cheese, meat, eggs, peanut butter, non-carbonated beverages, and yogurt made with live bacteria.
