G2 Exit

因为前几年回国，眼看G2要过期了，可是还没参加最后的路考。要是万一第一次路考通不过，怎么办？有办法延长G2的期限吗？另外，G2Exit 考试现在用哪条路？还是Airport Parkway 吗？有谁知道吗？谢了。

有办法延长,可以去考试中心跟他们说

有办法延长? -> Take G1 road test again to re-qualify G2 for another 5 years by paying a certain amount of money!
However, if you choose G2 road test and fail to exit G2 before license's expiration date, you will have to go back to the very begining -> knowledge test for G1 license...

I feel that this method is impossible. I have an actual example. My friend had G2 license. Because G2 was very soon expiration, she had to take G road test. She failed. She thouht that G test was too difficult to pass it. After that, she changed her mind and took G2 road test. You kown what? When she took G2 road test, she had lost G2 license. She coudn't drive car by herself even though she had G2 license. I think that if you take G1 test, you will lost your G2 license.

Strictly speaking, there is no G road test at all, which is called G2 exit road test. So, your friend took G2 road test at first and failed. Nothing was affected at that time, except one examination fee. Then, she changed mind and took G1 road test to re-qualify G2 license and failed again. This means she was only qualified for G1 license from that moment. According to the current policy, MTO had to withdraw her G2 license. She is only a G1 holder after that!!!

Sounds weird but understandable. This is why a G2 holder has higher risks of losing all driving privileges if he/she can't complete G upgrade soon enough before expiration.
