I took it 2 years ago. Prof, Tim is a good professor, but the course materials were hard at the time. U have to memorize many software design principles and skills; besides, the heavest work load on the labs; however, these principles are very very useful for my current career, especially for software design and test.

比较像国内政治课，很理论，背书，一定要去上课。

而课程跟实验没什么关系，所以一定要有点JAVA的功底，因为你会发现试验跟上课完全两回事。

I don't think so. I remembered the 3rd lab and 4th lab were needed to use OCSF, sockets, threads; their principles were from the textbook and lec though...Maybe Tim changed the lab material?

they are introduced in textbook indeed, but i found the intro is totally useless~

这门课是用血和眼泪念完的。不过lab的聊天室程序一路编下来还是挺有意思的
