RRSP价值突然少了好多

前几年买了8800的RRSP, 今年四月份收到STATEMENT说市值为9238, 上周因为要取出用于HBP(Home Buyer Plan), 可是AGENT说, 因为这几周状况不佳, 我的RRSP帐上只有八千六百多块钱了, 今天钱已转到我的银行帐号上, 总数暂时只有八千三百多块钱,我不太明白, 钱咋会亏得这么快, 不是说RRSP保值增值吗?

不知有没有同样遭遇的.

公司是TRANSAMERICA LIFE CANADA.

很明显是你的投资缩水了，目前两年大势良好，而你的投资不升反降，我想你应该考虑换投资，或者换公司了。

另外，除非你买GIC或者买SEG FUND，否则你是无法真正保值RRSP的。

Actually you are quite lucky.

Last few weeks, the stock market was quite bad and has dropped to the lowest point of this year.

for short term investment, you should not invest in equity market, especially if those savings are for downpayment...you know TSX erased all its gain year to date...

even is seg funds, if you take out before maturity, there is still no guarantee.
Seg funds only gurantee on maturity
