INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE IN A RESEARCH PROJECT


The City for All Women Initiative (CAWI) in collaboration with Centre on Governance (University of Ottawa) is undertaking a study to understand the mobility patterns of Aboriginal and foreign born women and men in order to examine the role played by public services, public policies, and community-based services and groups in the mobility processes.


The City for All Women Initiative is inviting Aboriginal women and men, and also women and men from Somali and Chinese cultures to participate in this study. We are looking for people who have moved to Ottawa from other places in Canada within the past five years.

Participants will receive compensation of $25 for their participation.

No, the compensation is too low. $25 for how long? Give me the hourly rate of compensation, 25 cents per hour ?.

I do not think they need you to study. You probably just need to make yourself available and they will interview you with some questions.

I do not understand why some ppl never make themselves clear when they ask ppl to do something, low IQ and unable to make things clear or on purpose?

合格的参加者：在中国出生的男人或女人，并且是在过去５年里，从加拿大其他地方搬到渥太华来的。

不合格的参加者：不符合以下任何一条 -- 1.在中国出生的男人或女人 2.过去５年里到渥太华来 3.从加拿大其他地方搬到渥太华来。

例如：

１. 不是出生在中国的男人或女人。
２. 中国出生，４年前，从中国来渥太华。
３. 中国出生，６年前，从温哥华来渥太华。

符合以上三种情况的网友，就忘掉那２５加刀吧。

其实具体内容我也不知道，在申请义工的时候，那个面试我的 Cooperator 说有这个项目，问我能不能转告一些感兴趣的人。
我也从国内刚来不久，没有什么朋友，所以就发到这里来了。
我的理解是她想调查一下为什么会从其他城市来渥太华，他们来到渥太华之后需要一些什么样的帮助等等。
再具体的内容如果有哪位感兴趣可以直接打电话问她。
