In September 2006, I signed sales agreement with a builder with the address: 270 ABC street. The closing date is in April2007. Last month, The builder sent me a letter and advised me that the address is changed to 271 ABC street.

Personally, I do not like 271 ABC street at all, may I have a chance to change or terminate the contract and get deposit back?

I guess you should try, because part of contract is charged by them. I will meet them face to face and submit your dissatisfaction on paper and keep a copy of it. You should present your reason and record who you talk with and what is discussed. You should tell them for Chinese the number is bad luck. You would not buy the home at first place if the address is such. In case of this thing go to court, there are good evident.

I think the better way out for you and them is let you choose another lot. For them they keep their business. You still get the price for last year which should be lower than next year’s.

I think if they have not started to build the foundation, you will be able to cancel the agreement or change to another lot.
