How long does it need to paint a new house?

Could any friends tell me how long it need to paint a new four-bedroom house if the house is closed and empty? I will probably use three or four colors for the painting.

After the house is paint, how long do I need to wait to move in, like 2 days, 5 days or 30 days?

I was able to do one room a day all by myself. Wall only, no trim and ceiling, two coats with good quality. Over that you will be tired. The size of the room does not make too much different. The number of doors and windows did. Taping and cutting (paint the edge with trim and ceiling) takes most of time, rolling does not.
Latex paint will be dry in few hours without too much odor. You can move in the same day. There are no harmful chemical in the air. Since paint is water based.

new house? should wait till the house settled

or you need to patch again later, during the time a new house in the settle processing it always has some nail pops, after about one year and after the year end builder fixes, then it is the time to paint.

Professional advice.
If two persons work together, one is doing Taping and cutting , and the other doing rolling, it would be twice fast. Good luck!

I think I will most probably hire a professional to do this. It is great to be able to move in soon after the painting is finished.
