SPROTT BUSINESS STUDENTS BRING HOME THE GOLD
(OTTAWA, January 15, 2007) - Two students from Carleton University Sprott School of Business bested students from across the country to win first place in the accounting competition at the Inter-Collegiate Business Competition (ICBC) in Kingston over the weekend.
Fourth year Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) students Sherrie Richer and Grant Murphy competed against students from Concordia University, McGill University, the University of British Columbia, the University of Calgary and the University of Western Ontario.
Each group was given a case to analyze and five hours to prepare a 15-minute oral presentation in front of a panel of judges from corporate Canada.
