I appreciate you gave the information. but what is meaning to meet OCDSB primary gifted placement criteria.if we apply the specialized gifted class is very far to study this year, Can we apply the new location in next year. My kid's school just gave us C.C.A.T result last week, I don't know how to going on.

What you said is really useful for me. It let me know the steps and questions for applying for the Gifted class.I searched the locations, Mutchmor,John Young,Hawthorne all are very far,and two schools' EQAO Ranking is very low but Mutchmor. It will be still tough to decide go or not, which school to choose.

What you said is very useful for me.It let me know the steps of applying the gifted class."The OCDSB provides transportation for gifted students as per board transportation policy" means the qualify gifted student can study in Ottawa public school or other city public school, or Catholic school?

It is serious problem that be no enough seats for gifted students. This year January, Ottawa school broad held a meeting about special education that time we just received the note of C.C.A.T test and newlt live in ottawa. I want to know more special education information, but heard all voice is to cancel or reduce gifted program budget. The disability kids their parents participated the meeting request to increase seats, services and schools with strong voice. Only one principal persist to continus and improve gifted budget.

I came from Toronto, immigrate city. I know some situation for gifted program. There no problem for gifted kids have seat to enjoy gifted study.

if Ottawa exists the trouble for minorty voice is weak ?It is common that gifted students half or over half are chinese and other minorty

Which school is your child in now?

As I know, if your child'school does not have the Gifted Class, the school provide the transportation to your child to the other school to attend the gifed class.
