In Barrhaven, 3,336 Ottawa Hydro customers were without power due to fallen wires just after 6 a.m. Traffic lights failed and students at Ecole Elementaire Publique Barrhaven had to learn in the dark until power was restored at 2:20 p.m.

More than 3,000 people lost power near Walkley Rd. and Albion Rd. Power was restored by 12:45 p.m.
