This Sunday grab a friend, co-worker, or family member come out to watch La Vendemmia's Charity Grape Stomp in action - for a great cause!
The 11th annual Charity Grape Stomp supports the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation and the Tickled Pink Charity Cookbook.
The Stomp is one in a series of events that make up La Vendemmia - Ottawa's 11th annual celebration of Italian wine and food. Visit Ottawa's Little Italy - Preston Street for a list of tastings, dinners and the Taste of Little Italy Wine and Food Show.
WHEN: 11am-1pm, Sunday September 23rd, 2007
WHERE: Sala San Marco Parling lot (behind 215 Preston Street).
WHY: 1. Stomp teams are helping to raise funds for cancer research.
2. 25-30 teams are lined up and they are looking for a rowdy crowd.
3. You can find the best coffee in town right across the street at Pasteceria Gelateria...
4. T.L. Rader & Derick Fage of Rogers TV will kick off the first stomp and MC.
5. Attend Ottawa's only Italian wine and food show 2:30-5pm after the stomp . Save $5 at Taste Little Italy Wine & Food Show 2007 - Event Hosted by Eventbrite
WHAT: Teams of 1 or 2 stompers crush grapes with their feet for one minute. The team creating the most juice per stomp wins.
