说起Filter, 我前年就是刚换了Filter就停机器了, 后来修理的时候, 倒没有说是Filter的事情, (是里边一个部件坏了) 但是工人还是把我新买的Filter摘了, 让换一种. 我买的是Home Depot的人推荐的, 说是比较好的, 价格好像20多块吧, 工人说那种其实不好, 网眼太细小, 灰尘特别容易堵住, 堵满了就跟横了一堵墙似的, 如果不换, 机器就会停转. 那种适合对灰尘特别敏感的人, 一点粉尘都不能容忍, 那种人简直是每个月换Filter, 而我们普通人每6个月换一次, 足够了.
楼主要不先把Filter拿出来, 试试还转不? 如果还不行, 就只能叫人了.

回家后换上老filter，重新把温度控制器拨到heat上，隔了几分钟，炉子突然工作了。看到蓝色的火苗，风扇也转了。可温度上升到21度后不知为何突然停了，（我设到22度）。我再调到23度24度都没用。我打开了access panel。上面的说明说这个炉子没有长明火，是自动light on的。让我先把温度控制器调到最低温度，再关电源，再把一个开关拨到off。（我想是版主说的开关吧。）等5分钟，再拨到on。再开电源，再把温度调到合适的温度。
我这么干了，可没作用。我发现，炉子每隔一会儿就自动light on，通红的。但没有煤气，不能燃烧，没有蓝火苗，风扇也不转。我可以听见里面有排废气的小风扇在转，不是那个送暖风的大风扇。过一小会儿light就灭了，排废气的小风扇也停了。周而复始。我给维修的打了电话，说给我回电话，可到现在也没有。希望大家帮我再分析一下。
有谁知道好的维修公司吗？

The furnace needs cleaning. The heat exchange unit and the exchange unit of air condition (if you have them) needs cleaning. They may have too much dirty on them this cause blockage of airflow leads to overheating. The furnace shut itself down for protection. It should cost about 100 to 200 dollar for the cleaning, depends how long it take them.

版主. I asked sample Heating to do the furnace cleaning 2 yrs ago. I did not see technician do anything particular. All they did, I think I could do it better. That is why I don't ask them anymore. However, I am a little worried about something I don't know. What kind of vaccum heads your technician used to clean your heating exchanger? Was it access to inside of heat exchanger? I did not see sample Heating use special tools. Do you think we should ask them to clean it every year or every 2nd year? Also, A/C needs clean too. my A/C exchanger is not accessable, I think. Unless open the foil tap and screws to take that cut-off panel out to clean it. It seems same thing as clean heating exchanger, but this is my 1st time hearing about cleaning A/C exchanger. I don't think you need to clean heat exhanger if you change the filter often. You can check the flame color (should be blue) and ignition and Open the side panel vacuum the blower fans.
I avoid touch the heat exchange myself. Only take a look at them. It is basically a piece of thin steel between the air you breath and the gas exhaust. And they are very expensive to replace. It looks difficult to reach without some special tool. I don't want to damage it. So If I found it dirty, I will call for the service.
For the ac exchange, you do have to open the cut off panel.
If you still try to DIY. I suggest use a can of compress air. Better not to use any hard object to touch them.

Good to Know. This situation happened to my first house furnace 5 years ago, it was the overheat limit switch locked for maybe 12 hours and opened itself.
