The Xandros Core OS development team in Ottawa is currently looking to fill multiple positions for 32 and 64-Bit Linux Kernel Developers. To qualify, the following skills are essential:
- Strong knowledge of C and/or assembly language programming (minimum 4 years of experience).
- Past experience developing operating systems, device drivers (Windows, Linux/UNIX), or file systems.
- Strong familiarity with the Linux kernel architecture and source code.
- TCP/IP and networking knowledge.
- Proven track record working in software project and using source versioning system (such as CVS, SourceSafe, Rational ClearCase etc.)
- Experience in hardware controller programming.
- Expertise in IA-32, PCI, SATA and common PC bus architectures.
- A strong team player that is eager to share and exchange ideas with team mates.
- Different file systems
- Debian and Red Hat Linux
- shell and Perl scripting
- 64-Bit architecture (IA-64 and AMD64) and programming experience
