What I meant before was that I only told the insurance company there was an accident. I didn't claim anything,I don't have witness, I didn't give info about another car. All the insurance had was what I said.
Do you mean the insurance only believe what I said.
If they believe what said, can I say there is no any damage or such an accident?
In Canada, government, insurance companies or people trust what we said in the first time. (It is known as 'Honest System') If we told them that our first reported statements are not true and made corrections. They won't trust us any more and they will do in-depth investigation from the beginning of the case.
Also, the insurance premium is not based on how much an insurance company pay us. It is based on how risky we are.
I checked the Ottawa Parking bylaw on PartA Part1 Item 7 said nobody should park the car to obstruct the other's driveway. Since my neighbor’s car parked beside the snow bank which is opposite to my driveway and it did block my way out. Can I take this to insurance company to claim it was not my fault?
