NT closed at $1.8 today, if there is no 50 base points FED rate cut in this month, NT may have 90% chance to step into $1 in 4 weeks.

If one sell or short NT at $1.8, he may buy back or cover at 90 cents, can anyone say no to this possibility? History always repeats itself.

Back to 2002, I was shocked to see NT fell into C$0.67. how will I be shocked again to see NT fall into $1(after reverse split) this year given NT's performance is way worse than 2002 and its CEO and managers are much more stupid and greedy than previous ones.

I am very sad to see NT may turn to penny stock soon.

Without 50 base points FED rate cut this week or Canadian government credit injection, NT will see $1.50 by the end of this week.

Yes, rate cut will ease the tension on credit market. However it takes time to flow the money from Fed --> Bank -----> Telecom/Enterprise customer ---> Nortel ---> NT employees and shareholders.

Rate cut will help NT stop dropping like a rock.

Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke said today economy turns "worse" and market will continue suffering. What does that tell the market? The bullets from Fed and congress are very limited or are almost run out. This is the main reason causing today's huge drop that market can not get any fast rate cut and confidence.

With the ER report season going on now, more and more companies will release bad ER and those will also make people in the market desperate. The only reliefe will be cut loss and stay away from this depressive market.

The current problem is caused by low interested rate which has caused the credit crisis. In short, it just let the people cannot afford to spend to spend. When interest is high, it will clear out the bad debts. The economy will become healthy again. And it is a natural law of supply and demand. If money is scarce, the interest should be high. Currently, money is in short supply.

NT 1.74 as I said on the way to $1.5 below. Take care

NT hits $1.53 today, 3 cents away from my prediction.

The way NT dropped looks like bleeding continuously without sign of stop.
It will go to $1 below after NT Q3 ER.

I have to say drop in past 2 weeks was nightmare for all investors.

Is this nightmare behind us? Not yet.

Best way for small investors is "Cut loss and move on"
