[FONT=宋体]尊敬的加拿大社会各界和世界各国青年朋友们：[/FONT]​

[FONT=宋体]奥林匹克运动原本是体现友谊、团结、和平、和谐的世界体育盛会，但在最近一个时期却再一次被政治深深的印染。作为和参赛运动员同时代的青年，我们对在世界各地已经发生和还在发生的种种有悖于奥林匹克精神和理想的现象深感揪心。我们一直在想，同时也在问我们的社会：我们心中的奥林匹克精神和理想到底是什么？[/FONT]​

"[FONT=宋体]现代奥运之父[/FONT]"[FONT=宋体]顾拜旦（[/FONT]Coubertin[FONT=宋体]）在[/FONT]1919[FONT=宋体]年曾用他诗一般的语言赞美奥林匹克，说她[/FONT]"[FONT=宋体]是在各民族间建立愉快的联系；是使不同民族特质成为高尚而和平竞赛的动力；能让全世界的青年学会相互尊重和学习”的运动。显然，奥林匹克运动的诞生是旨在以健康的体育运动来增进和推动各个国家、各个民族之间的相互交流、友谊和团结，促进和谐世界的建立。她的理想是崇高的，内容是健康和纯洁的。[/FONT]​

[FONT=宋体]但是，从远古的第一届奥林匹克运动开始至今，在二千多年漫长的时光岁月里却是历尽坎坷。政治，一而再，再而三地侵袭着纯洁的体育运动。而在每一次的政治冲击中，真正付出代价的却是那些为了奥林匹克精神与理想和探索人类自身体能的发展不断向自我极限挑战而艰辛付出的运动员。我们的社会和政治家们替他们想过吗？[/FONT]​

[FONT=宋体]今天，更让我们没有想到的是，当人类文明正在不断向前发展，自由、民主和人权已被广为认知的时候，奥林匹克运动竟然会成为自由、民主和人权口号下的绞杀对象。当暴力者一次次试图熄灭传递中的奥运圣火时，我们是否意识到：这不是在熄灭一盏火炬，这是在熄灭已经绵延千年象征着人们对奥运理想的美好追求！一个文明和负责任的国际社会是不能允许滥用民主、自由和人权去亵渎神圣的奥运，亵渎她的精神和理想。[/FONT]​

[FONT=宋体]把纯洁的奥运作为复杂政治的工具，不仅是理性的缺失，更是奥林匹克运动的不幸和悲剧。如果我们放任，它将永远不会是一个终点，[/FONT]2010[FONT=宋体]年温哥华的冬奥会和[/FONT]2012[FONT=宋体]年伦敦的夏季奥运会是[/FONT][FONT=宋体]不是还要继续面对这样的不幸？[/FONT][FONT=宋体]为此，[/FONT]​

[FONT=宋体]我们郑重呼吁：[/FONT]​

l [FONT=宋体]各种媒体，以道德和善意，为运动健儿和我们的社会营造良好的赛前环境；[/FONT]​

l [FONT=宋体]政治家们，以理性和责任，尊重和帮助奥林匹克精神与理想的体现；[/FONT]​

l [FONT=宋体]社会大众，以爱心和祝福，期盼奥林匹克运动会和每一位运动员的成功。[/FONT]​

[FONT=宋体]停止一切与奥领匹克运动精神不符的行为和舆论，尊重各国青年健儿的理想和付出！[/FONT]​

[FONT=宋体]世界各国的青年朋友们声援我们的呼吁，让已经延绵千年的奥林匹克香火从此不再被伤害，让崇高的奥林匹克精神和理想得以实现。[/FONT]​

Open letter to the Canadian public and youths around the world

Dear Canadians and youths of all countries in the world:

The Olympic Games is a sports event for the world, an icon of friendship, solidarity, peace and harmony, and that it shall remain. But of late, it has been placed under extremely political spotlight. As youth live in the same era with those athletes who will compete in the games, we are concerned about what has happened and is still happening against the very spirit and ideals of the Olympics here and there in the world. We have been thinking，and at the same time asking ourselves and our society, what does Olympics mean to us?

In 1919, Pierre, Baron de Coubertin, father of the modern Olympics, lauded the Olympic movement with his poetic language “O Sport, You are Peace! You forge happy bonds between the peoples by drawing them together in reverence for strength which is controlled, organized and self disciplined. Trough you the young of the entire world learn to respect one another, and thus the diversity of national traits becomes a source of generous and peaceful emulation! ”.It is more than obvious that since its first day, the Olympic movement was meant to foster exchanges, friendship and solidarity among countries and nations for a more harmonious world through sports. It is lofty in ideals, healthy and pure in content.

However, the Olympic journey has never been plain sailing in the two millenia since the first ancient Games. Politics has once and again found its way into the untainted world of sports, at the expense of athletes who are working so hard to challenge human limitations in the true spirit of the Olympics. Have our society and political figures ever taken into their consideration of the efforts made by these athletes who compete in the games?

It is far beyond our expectation that in today’s world of human progress, the Olympic movement still falls victim to political motivations, under the pretext of the otherwise lofty ideals of freedom, democracy and human rights. When some people were repeatedly trying to extinguish the Olympic torch in relay, at peril was not only the torch itself, but also ages-old Olympic aspirations of mankind. No civil and responsible international community would tolerate the desecration of the Olympic movement and what it represents by the abuse of democracy, freedom and human rights.

Political exploitation of the Olympics is not only against common sense, but also a tragedy for the Olympic movement itself. Such abuse, if given a free rein, would never have an end. Are we expecting Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic and London 2012 Olympic Games to continue facing such a tragedy again? The answer is absolutely no. It is for this purpose that we call on:

Media of all sorts, to create a sound environment for both the athletes and our society, with morality and goodwill;
Politicians, to respect and facilitate the Olympic spirit and ideals, with senses and responsibility;
The public, to wish success to each and every athlete, with compassion and best of all wishes.
We hope to see an end to all words and deeds in disagreement with what the Olympic movement stands for, and genuine respect for what the athletes aspire and have been working for.

We expect our calls echoed by young people of every land, to keep the Olympic movement from further hurt, and to ensure the lofty ideals of the Olympic movement coming to fruition.

MESSAGE AUX PERSONNALITÉS DE DIVERS MILIEUX DU CANANADA ET AUX JEUNES AMIS MONDIAUX

Nos honorés personnalités de divers milieux du Canada et jeunes amis mondiaux,

Les Jeux olympiques étaient originalement un grand rassemblement sportif d’amitiés, d’union, de paix et d’harmonie, mais ces jours-ci, ils sont tachés par la politique. En tant que sportifs des jeux et jeunes, nous nous inquiétons beaucoup des actes d’hostilité aux principes fondamentaux de Jeux olympiques qui se déroulent dans le monde ces derniers mois. Nous nous demandons et demandons aussi à notre société : Qu’est-ce que c’est les principes fondamentaux?

“Le Père des Jeux olympiques” modernes Coubertin a loué les Jeux olympiques avec un langage poétique, “O Sport, tu es la Paix! Tu établis des rapports heureux entre les peuples en les rapprochant dans le culte de la force contrôlée, organisée et maîtresse d’elle-même. Par toi la jeunesse universelle apprend à se respecter et ainsi la diversité des qualités nationales devient la source d’une généreuse et pacifique émulation”. Évidemment, la naissance des Jeux olympiques était pour le but de renforcer et de promouvoir des échanges, amitiés et union ainsi que de rétablir une harmonie entre tous les pays, toutes les nations et tous les peuples à travers ces sportifs de santé. Ses idées sont nobles, les contenus sont soins et purs.

Mais depuis les premiers Jeux olympiques jusqu’à aujourd’hui, pendant plus de deux mille ans, ils parcourent un chemin raboteux. La politique a intervenu plusieurs fois dans les affaires des Jeux olympiques. Chaque fois quand la politique s’y mêlait, c’était toujours les sportifs de Jeux qui ont subi de lourdes conséquences. Notre société et nos politiciens y ont pensé?

Aujourd’hui, nous ne pouvons imaginer qu’au moment où la civilisation des êtres humains se développe sans cesse, Les Jeux olympiques sont attaqués sous prétexte de la liberté, la démocratie et le droit de personne. Quand les personnes brutales voulaient étreindre la flamme des Jeux olympiques , ce n’est pas tout simplement la flamme, c’est aussi d’étreindre le symbole de meilleurs vœux des êtres humains pour les Jeux olympiques! Une société civilisée et responsable du monde ne permettrait pas de blasphémer contre Les Jeux olympiques et ces principes sous prétexte de la liberté, la démocratie et le droit de personne.

L’utilisation des Jeux olympiques comme un outil politique sont non seulement irraisonnable, mais aussi un malheur et une tragédie pour les Jeux olympiques. Si nous laissons ce qui se passe, ce serait sans fin. Les Jeux olympiques d’hiver de Vancouver 2010 et les Jeux olympiques d’été de Londres 2012 pourraient-ils avoir la même situation?

C’est pourquoi nous faisons appel solennellement aux :
Tous les médias avec la moralité et la bonne intention pour créer une bonne atmosphère avant les Jeux olympiques ;
Tous les politiciens avec les gestes rationnels et responsables pour respecter et aider la pratique des principes fondamentaux des Jeux Olympiques.
Tout le monde avec l’amour et meilleurs vœux pour souhaiter la réussite des Jeux et de chaque sportif qui y participe.

Nous espérons :
Arrêtez tous les actes et propagandes de harcèlement contre les principes du Jeux olympiques, respectez le rêve et l’effort des sportifs!

Nous attendons :
Tous jeunes amis du monde répondent notre appel pour que le flamme olympique ne subisse plus la nuisibilité et que les principes des Jeux olympiques se réalisent sans obstacles.
