急求: 下星期去- Nortel -面试, 请问工资该要多少为合适?

请问各位高人: 下星期去Nortel 面试, 不知道工资该要多少. 本人情况如下:

- 15 years software development, 10 year in Canada
- McGill Master
- Currently employed by a Ottawa telecom company
- Current salary 75k, I know I am under paid.

Q1: Is Nortel still okay?
Q2: Is 90k realistic? Thanks

It is a surprise that Nortel is still hiring experienced engineers, I heard they are only hiring new-grad. Be careful, they are transferring a lot of work to Beijing and cut jobs here.

90k to 110k depends if they hire ic3 level is resonable.

Don’t just focus on salary. Everything is up for negotiation, annual leaves (you industry experience can ask for 4 paid weeks of vacation.), benefits (effective immediately). Plus anything that might suite you.

Don’t be afraid to ask. This is the only chance to ask. Once you are hired, you just have to wait for your annual salary adjustment which is not very much, unless the whole industry is “alive” again.

If they want you, they have to pay for it. Don’t forget you have to work a lot of overtime once they hired you (it is a know fact) not that you are getting it for free.
