It is the problem of your boss, not us. We are all immigrants, but my boss never ask for a proof to grant us a sick leave. In my company, if you don't feel good, just take one day off.
According to law, your boss has no right to ask what kind of sickness or illness you are suffering.
No body (even police) has the right to ask that kind of information because it is prohibited by law.
Doctor has the right to give patient sick leave when it is necessary, employer must honor the request without further incident. (how can they not, it is protected by law)
If your boss give you trouble contact labour board and file complain.
We don't need a proof if I only take one or two days sick leave. But in my case, I take more than two days sick leave.
My boss told me another colleague had provided the reason of taking sick leave before. So did I. I don't know did he tell me the truth or not?
Thank you very much for the reply, my friends.
Don't make something unhappy to your boss. Ask your doctor to write a note to your boss, and say "the patient's information cannot be given to anybody else BY LAW.
