Well, the truth is that China has 13 Gold, 4 Silver and 3 Bronze total of 20 medals and counting. Canada has 0 medal up till now. I wonder he would call this as pre-recorded, if so, that would have been a very accurate estimate.

For Lin Miaoke's song, I felt sad that director used other kid's sound voice. This is very disputable. I don't understand why director could not find a kid who can both sing well and have good appreance? Why combined them together to get a "perfect" image/sound? For me, it may not be an serious issue. However it did give some China bashers excuses to accuse China.

Olympic Lip-Synching Scandal

It wasn't doping but dubbing that is causing a scandal at the Beijing Olympics.
The music director of the opening ceremonies has admitted that a Chinese girl who was supposed to sing at the ceremonies was deemed not pretty enough, and so another girl took her place.
Lin Miaoke was a bit hit during the ceremonies, but it was seven-year-old Yang Peiyi whose voice was heard.
The director says the change was made "in the national interest."
There are also reports that some footage of fireworks during the elaborate opening ceremonies was digitally inserted into TV coverage.
