Any comments here?

Rule is rule, "friendship" is bullshit. Ruin the rule just for big "harmony", it will not get any respect from international community. It will only raise more question marks. Why give in? Is there anything fishy elsewhere?

It is a very good topic to debate on.

It would be much appreciated if anyone could post any Britich media reaction to see if China's give in get anything respectfuly from U.K?

Actually there was an incident that a British bronze medal winner insulted a Chinese Female official before medal ceremony by dropping water on that Chinese female offcial's head. Why didn't I hear any strong voice from organizer?

Once he had recovered, he found himself being dragged away from media interviews by overzealous Chinese marshals. A scuffle broke out, in which Davies’s coach Kevin Renshaw, and Michael Scott, Britain’s performance director, shouted at the marshals to “keep your hands off him – do not touch him.” The female marshal then shouted at Davies, who broke off from being interviewed to say: “Just shut up!” She did no such thing but before she knew it, Davies had splashed water in her face from the drinks bottle he was carrying. Scott joked: “He was just shaking a champagne bottle, nothing more than that.”

两人大叫“放开手,不许碰他!”(keep your hands off him – do not touch him)。

这回可惹火了戴维斯,转身冲着女义大叫“闭嘴”(Will you shut up?)。

(He was just shaking a champagne bottle, nothing more than that.)

After taking on board sugar, Davies was ready to face the press. He was speaking happily and articulately in the “mix zone” about his experience when an official - a Chinese woman for whom the adjective “overzealous” might have been invented - barked repeatedly in his ear in Chinese and tried to manhandle him away.

“Will you shut up, please?” he asked her at first. More hassling followed. More barking. Then a tug on Davies' arm. “Will you take your hands off me, please?” asked Davies.

The official wanted him to head to the nearby podium but the medal ceremony was still 10 minutes away and Davies talked on. He was grabbed again. “Touch me one more time,” the mild-mannered Davies warned. And then the official touched him one more time, barking louder.

Davies had a plastic bottle of Evian in his hand. He turned. A moment later his bottle was less full. It was raining hard, but not all the water on the official's head was rain. No complaints were made. And certainly not from any spectators.

Yeah, why not!!!
